Check the Show on first page box if possible. To insert automatic page numbering: Click on Insert > Page number. Insert your (abbreviated) paper title in capital letters. Select the Blank template (left-aligned without additional formatting). The second level header is flush left and italicized, as shown with APA Style above. Click on Insert > Header (or double click at the top of a page). The first level of heading in a section is centered as shown with the title above. I tried repeating the above listed actions multiple times, but the end result continues to be the same. For example, every line is double-spaced without exception. I thought I had it solved at first, but as I said, the "Running Head" continues to show up on odd numbered pages. Right Clicked and selected 'Page' from menu.I am hopelessly confused at this point, and would very much appreciate a walk through on keeping the front page header unique, while having every other page follow the same format. ![]() When I read the other forum posts, I applied some of the suggestions, and now it appears that every other page (odd numbered pages) still keep the "Running Head:" of the first, but I did *somehow* manage to remove it from the even numbered pages. I am trying to write a paper in APA format, and this requires the front page header to read, "Running Head: TITLE," while following pages contain only the title. ![]() ![]() So I went and checked some previous posts, but still was unable to find my answer.
